The hotel offers acceptable rooms with a good breakfast that was well presented and good value. The rooms had peeling paint and signs of damp and mold, but they were warm and the bed was comfortable with the best shower ever. Friendly service ensuring comfort and outstanding service. The hotel was quaint and comfortable, with all the amenities needed, giving it a rustic and homely feel. However, the Standard double room I booked felt a bit cramped. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay relaxing and homely. The location offered fabulous views in every direction, perfect for exploring South Northumberland. The dining experience was huge and very nice, with delicious homemade cakes after breakfast. The hotel facilities were top-notch, adding value to my stay.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of pleasant and slightly disappointing experiences. The rooms were clean and spacious, but they didn't get very dark, so I woke up early. Despite the upgrade with a lovely view and very clean accommodations, there were some minor inconveniences.

Service
9.0
The service was brilliant, and the staff, especially Benny, Julie, and Arun, were very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
Location
7.0
The location, although a bit tatty in appearance, is lovely being surrounded by quiet countryside. It's conveniently situated for the event we were attending and near Hamsterley Forest.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience varied from self-service cereal and coffee/tea, which was a bit average for my taste, to a delicious meal that I would highly recommend visiting. The full English breakfast wasn't my cup of tea, but it was well-cooked.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offers a range of facilities, though some areas may need improvement.
